The 3M™ SecureFit™ Safety Helmet X5000 provides comfort and security for workers in a variety of situations because it features climbing helmet-inspired design that meets occupational safety requirements, works with a variety of 3M faceshields, earmuffs and other accessories, and the suspension incorporates exclusive 3M patented Pressure Diffusion technology.
The 3M™ SecureFit™ Safety Helmet X5000 meets ANSI Z89.1 and is tested to various of the impact and penetration requirements of the European EN12492 Mountaineering Helmet Standard for industrial climbing applications*, and is designed to provide head protection from small falling objects. Not only does it have modern climbing-helmet inspired design, it also provides increased comfort and security due to 3M’s Pressure Diffusion technology designed into the suspension.The Brimless design helps to allow for better awareness of some hazards. Moreover, the 3M™ SecureFit™ suspension uses 3M patented pressure diffusion technology that increases comfort while also providing a secure fit by reducing the force on the forehead up to 20%, compared to 3M conventional helmet suspension. A smooth, easy turning ratchet suspension system allows for tightening of the headband. There are also fifteen adjustment settings on the 3M™ SecureFit™ Helmet, X5000 series that allows for different height and front-to-back adjustments. It sits low on the head to reduce pressure, increase comfort and security. The vents are designed to allow airflow through the helmet. It also comes with a UVicator™ sensor that changes color as the hard hat is exposed to ultra violet (UV) light. The hard hat should be replaced when the sensor changes from red to white, because the sun’s UV rays can cause a hard hat shell to become brittle and compromise its ability to protect the wearer. Not only is this helmet equipped with accessory slots and clips that can work with variety of 3M accessories and other 3M PPE products, but it comes in eight colors and is available with 3M™ Scotchlite reflective material for increased visibility under low light conditions.
